Who’s a happy turkey?

Scenes from yesterday’s prep
This is the easiest cranberry sauce ever. Like. Ever.

Turns to this

Drying out the bread for stuffing. Other families just let it go stale naturally, but good bread doesn’t last long in my family. Mainly because of me. Let’s be honest.

Just a little sweet potato to go with the butter.

Yes, that is heavy cream in the back ground. Not part of the recipe but I like to have it close by just in case.

Is that a “brine-d” turkey? I’ve always wondered how those turn out. Hope you had a fabulous turkey day! All was humming along here….until it became obvious that the mashed potatoes were just NOT going to be good. That’s when the wine came out….and not for the potatoes! I wish I had a pic of my golden crisp turkey, but WAY too much was going on at that point. Scott thinks my mom took a few though 😉

Yes! I’ve been brining for years (3). I think the bloggers that do Thanksgiving recipes must not be doing it the day off…because it was chaos here too! Hmmm. Wine+potatoes..don’t give me any more ideas on why I need wine in my life!
