This is our family motto.  If we had a crest – this would be written in Latin on it.  If I could embroider – and liked things that were embroidered – this would be on every pillow in our house.

Please understand….we have many family rules.  Be polite, brush your teeth, don’t judge mommy and her glass of wine – all the normal stuff.  We block certain tv channels and websites.  We talk about stranger (and not so stranger) danger.  Thanks to my mother, I have a horror story for every occasion.  Going to the mall?  People die there!  Going to a carnival?  People die there too!  You get the point.  We don’t consider ourselves loosey goosey parents.

But when it comes to humor, to comedy, to all things funny – we’re not so tough. We may even be down right lax. So when you come over to our home and you notice my kids watching SNL or Family Guy (both of which happen frequently) – please know that we understand your horror and concern.  But rest assured, as long as we are all laughing, it’s all good.
